On the prowl at Bermagui
Why are they smiling? That’s 16 year-old Josh Hay and his parents, from Batemans Bay, NSW. This photo was taken at the conclusion of last month’s Canberra Yellowfin Competition. Josh was one of 450 anglers to compete at the Bermagui event organised by the Canberra Game Fishing Club.
Despite competing in the junior category Josh walked away with the biggest catch of the event — a Haines Hunter 525 Prowler package, valued at $45,000. The best part? It was a lucky draw prize.
John Haber, managing director at Haines Hunter, which sponsored the event, said he was thrilled with the draw. “We are very delighted the prize has been won by a junior,” he said. “It’s a nice feeling, supporting a great club and event, while at the same time giving something back to the community.”
Nice one boys!
