PRODUCTS - Salina II reel

The new Salina II reel from Okuma is designed specifically for heavy braided jigging and other big fish encounters. The main gear is helical cut from high density material, which the company said is 50 per cent stronger than standard gearing. It combines a machine-cut brass pinion gear to produce a drive train that is smooth, efficient, and ideal for the toughest of fishing conditions.

An oversized screw-in aluminium handle provides a non-slip grasp on the drive of the reel to ensure that no pressure is lost during gut wrenching battles. Other features include a machine-cut alloy round handle knob; a dual-force drag system incorporating oiled felt washers; a multi-disk drag in the front of the spool (which works with a secondary drag at the back of the spool to maximise high drag pressures); an oversized bail arm; elliptical oscillation for improved line lay — and much more.
