A showcase of strong Australian brands will allow the Australian marine industry to be more prominent than ever at this year’s Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, promoters said.

Australia’s main marine industry representative organisation, the Australian Marine Export Group (AIMEX) said it will be showcasing the best of the Australian products. It will also promote the capability of the Australian superyacht industry and the continent as an idyllic cruising destination, offering first-class service, quality refits and repairs, and world-class events.

The Australian Exporter of the Year, VEEM, will head the line-up of strong Australian brands present, displaying its VEEMUltraskew propeller, which is said to be quickly growing a reputation
in the global superyacht market.

Award-winning Gold Coast company Aqualuma, a leading manufacturer of ultra-bright, long-lasting and low power-drawing marine lights, will be exhibiting its product range, now an established brand in the US market.

Australian Superyacht Crew Recruitment and Training academy provides professional superyacht crew training and placement services for crew worldwide, said AIMEX.
The Australian Superyacht Crew’s main prerogative is to assist crew with career development, professional presentation and up-skilling. All graduates are offered a free placement service through this company.

Riviera’s new 445 SUV will make her first US appearance at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. The latest creation from Australia’s largest luxury boatbuilder is a culmination of more than 32 years of boatbuilding design, experience and extensive owner feedback from around the world.

The show will also mark the official US release of the new Riviera 63 Enclosed Flybridge. AIMEX said this shaftdrive model has ticked all the right boxes for the discerning new boat owner and has already sold three boats since its announcement earlier this year. Riviera will be located at C Dock slips 327, 329 and 331.

Muir Windlasses Australia will showcase its latest composite fibre housing for its range of horizontal anchor winches. Managing director Matthew Johnston said, “The new housing for motor and gearbox assemblies, shafts and other components for pleasurecraft replaced traditional aluminum housing. The new composite fibre model is a significant improvement.”

Making its debut appearance, Pyrotek Noise Control will be taking the opportunity to formerly launch Pyrotek Noise Control – USA at the show. During the last 12 months Pyrotek Noise Control have invested in US-based personnel and manufacturing to better serve the American market.

Publisher Ocean Media will again be at Fort Lauderdale in 2012. Its luxury yachting publications include Sails Magazine and Offshore Yachting. Ocean Media will display the latest international edition of OCEAN as well as the just-released 3rd biennial edition of the global cruising guide The Great Southern Route.

Poly Flex is an innovative Australian company who specialise in manufacturing a large range of Anti-vibration Engine Mounting Systems and shaft couplings for a variety of industries. Poly Flex will be represented on the Australian stand by its US agent Hugh Carroll.

Also supporting the Australian contingent is Sevenstar Yacht Transport.

AIMEX said Australia has a prominent position in the designer pavilion and are once again set to make their mark in the US.
