NEW BOATS - Buizen 52 superyacht completes sea trials

Buizen 52 superyacht completes sea trials

After two years of design, investment, and development, the new Buizen 52 is finally under sail.

The bluewater cruiser is first new design and model from Buizen Yachts in 15 years, having just completed sea trials and photography in a rare break in Sydney’s unseasonal weather.

Designed by renowned Australian superyacht designers Anthony Starr Design and Peter Lowe Design, the Buizen 52 pilothouse yacht is made for ocean sailing, offering excellent short-handed ease, luxurious comfort and safety.

The Australian-made yacht combines the best of age-old hand-contruction methods with
modern and efficient boat building techniques, including vacuum-infusion hull construction, CAD and CNC cutting technology.

Buizen Yachts' managing director Steve Howe said the construction process was guided by Buizen’s core values, but was not much different from how a 50m+ superyacht was put together today.

“The marriage of traditional values with the most advanced techniques has been exciting and rewarding to watch come together,” Mr Howe said.

“The philosophy that Buizen brings to the art of yacht building has been enhanced as a result and we’re extremely proud of the outcome.

“This is a world-class yacht that epitomises the very best of Australian boat building and craftsmanship.”

The Buizen 52 is now available for inspection.
