NEW BOATS - Regal unveils all-new Sport Coupe at New York Boat Show

Regal Marine Industries (RMI) has unveiled the all-new 35 Sport Coupe at the recent 106th New York Boat Show, and the fourth in a successful series of hardtop sportscruisers for the company. 

RMI said the Euro-styled Regal 52 Sport Coupe was the first in this range with its success leading to the Regal 46 Sport Coupe featuring a full-width retractable hardtop and walk-through windshield. The Florida boatbuilder said these popular features defined the rest of the series with the introduction of the 42 Sport Coupe last year and now the 35 Sport Coupe.

"The Regal 35 Sport Coupe is exceptionally well engineered to offer sport-yacht features in a more compact package," commented Duane Kuck, RMI president and CEO. "With a single-level cockpit that can be air-conditioned or heated, it gives its owners the option to boat in a controlled environment or open up the hardtop and windshield to enjoy the breeze and sunshine."

The interior has also been designed to maximise space. Entering the cabin, there’s a full-size head with shower and gourmet galley on the port side with sofa seating opposite that extends to wrap across the width of the forward third of the boat. The sofa converts to a starboardside berth and the forward seating into a centre-line double berth (with innerspring mattress) at the touch of a button. The cabin is well lit with overhead windows, opening portlights and a large window on the starboard side.

There’s also an aft cabin on the Regal 35 Sport Coupe that is open to the mid-cabin, making the entire area feel spacious and comfortable. A privacy curtain comes standard, while a solid privacy door is an option. The aft cabin can convert into a second entertainment centre with an optional flatscreen television.

"We really worked hard to make this boat feel big and airy as well have the exterior styling to family with the larger coupes in the series," explained Pat Wiesner, RMI vice president of engineering. "The entire Regal team are quite excited with the results."

The Regal 35 Sport Coupe is powered by either twin Volvo or Mercury petrol engines or twin Volvo D3 diesels. Both Volvo engine options are available with joystick control for easy docking.
