NEWS - Golden Jeanneau
The flagship Jeanneau 57, launched at the Cannes International Boat and Yacht Show some 16 months ago, has now reached a new milestone with hull number no.50 completed and being delivered to its owner.
The French yard said it owes a lot of the yacht’s success to world-renowned naval architect Philippe Briand, whose brief was to create the best production yacht of its size in terms of ease of handling, luxurious liveability, and offshore ability.
According to Jeanneau, a key element to the 57’s popularity is its visual appeal, something it said Briand manages to do with every yacht his office designs from the smaller production yacht up to superyachts.
Besides the look, Jeanneau cites functionality — sailing, entertaining, or just relaxing — and build quality (claiming to be the only volume manufacturer with an ISO accredited production facility), that has seen the model sold to owners in 25 countries.
