NEWS - Bribie Boats joins Mercury team

Bribie Boat Sales, on Queensland’s Bribie Island, has become the newest addition to Mercury Marine’s exclusive dealership network.

Dealer Danny Nichols has been in the marine industry for three decades and bought Bribie Boat Sales two years ago.

“I joined Mercury because there’s a growing demand from customers wanting mid-range four-stroke outboards,” said Nichols.

“The manufacturer I was with previously just didn’t have the engines, whereas Mercury has the lot — four-strokes, two-strokes, big, small and everything in between.

“Four-strokes are what people are asking for and now I can deliver what people want. I haven’t looked back since joining,” he said.

According to Nichols, not only is Mercury’s range helping him make more sales, the famous Mercury name is assisting as well. “With my previous manufacturer I’d have to spend 40 minutes with customers explaining about the brand and their engines. Now I don’t have to say a word. They see it’s a Mercury and that says it all,” he says.

Mercury’s Will Sangster said his team was excited with Nichols’ and his wife Sharon’s decision to become a mono-Mercury dealer on Bribie Island.

“This is a huge plus for the Mercury brand. We believe Danny's vast experience and knowledge of the boating industry combined with our range of engines will create very successful retail product,” said Sangster.

“The great thing is that boat owners throughout the Bribie Island region now have easy access to a bigger and better range of products and services to enhance their time on the water,” he said.
