News - Sabre Set To Celebrate 40 Years
American marque, Sabre Yachts, will stage a 40th Anniversary Rendezvous this weekend in Boothbay Harbour, Maine (USA).
Celebrating the boatbuilder’s history, event organisers are expecting more than 230 people representing 75 boats to attend the event. Two particular vessels – a sailing yacht from Bermuda and a motoryacht from Florida – are making the long journey along the entire east coast of the US to arrive just in time for the weekend.
Emarine Australia’s Jed Elderkin, who represents the Sabre brand throughout Australasia, has made the journey from Sydney to attend the celebration.
“The dedication with which Sabre builds each and every vessel is evident in the passion of Sabre yacht owners the world over,” Elderkin said.
“Annual owner reunions have always allowed Sabre to keep in touch with existing and prospective clients’ needs, which has enabled the company to continually refine each product.
“Although the core objective of this weekend is to celebrate a company milestone, I can guarantee Sabre’s accomplished designers and master craftspeople will be subliminally gathering as much feedback as possible to ensure the marque remains abreast of the market,” he said.
Emarine Australia said Sabre Yachts are widely recognised by knowledgeable boaters as one of the finest boatbuilders in the world, crafting sail and motoryachts since 1970 and building more than 2500 hulls to date.
Sabre Yachts currently builds three sailboats ranging 38ft to 45ft in length and six powerboats from 36ft to 52ft in length.
Emarine Australia is located at Sydney’s Roseville Bridge Marina.
