News - Team Windcraft Sydney's New Sydney Harbour Office
Windcraft Australia has opened a Sydney Harbour office in a move it says will cement its position as one of Australasia’s leading yacht importers. The new venture is titled Team Windcraft Sydney and
will oversee the sale of new yachts on Sydney Harbour from a waterfront facility based at Smiths Marina, The Spit, Mosman.
Representing the three major brands under the Windcraft banner, Hanse, Dehler, and Moody yachts, as well as providing local support to the growing number of existing harbor based owners, Windcraft said Team Windcraft Sydney is seen as the logical way for it to continue as a major force on the Australian yachting scene.
Team Windcraft Sydney has been created through a joint venture with the owners of the yacht brokerage firm Yoti, a well respected Sydney Harbour company, Windcraft said.
Peter Hrones, managing director of Windcraft Australia said: “Windcraft has always been proud of the relationship and service we offer to our customers. With Sydney Harbour being one of our major markets it is only natural that we would one day have a permanent presence on Sydney Harbour.
“Strategic decisions in business are not something to be implemented on a whim; we have spent considerable time ensuring that our partnership on the harbour is one that will produce long-term benefits for both our existing and future owners.
“The new Team Windcraft Sydney, under the direction of the team that spearheaded the success of Yoti, is the solution we have been searching for", Hrones said.
Tim Vine, co-founder of Yoti said: “We have been an admirer of the Windcraft range of products for many years. We are all very excited to be involved in this joint venture and look forward to growing the brand on Sydney Harbour.
“The backing and support of Windcraft Australia combined with our own experience and established relationships in the region will ensure that Team Windcraft Sydney is a huge success,” he said.
Windcraft said that following on from successful boat shows in Melbourne, Auckland and Sanctuary Cove, the opening of Team Windcraft Sydney is perfectly timed to see it welcome more owners on board at this years’ Sydney International Boat Show (July 29 to August 2).
“The whole concept of Team Windcraft with its bases now on Sydney Harbour, Pittwater and Melbourne is something that I strongly believe in,” said Hrones. “A strong Team, a strong range of products and a loyal and faithful band of customers ? this is what makes growing this business a pleasure.”
