PROPERTY - Extra marina berths for Melbourne

A limited number of absolute waterfront apartments have been released for public sale at Melbourne’s hottest new address, Wyndham Harbour marina, Point Cook on Port Phillip Bay’s northwest shoreline.

Demand for the luxury 1, 2 and 3-bedroom apartments is expected to be strong following the sell-out success of the first land release in Wyndham Harbour, which saw all 63 lots sold prior to public release in February this year and a second land-release launched last month, which is already more than 90 per cent sold.

Designed by renowned architects Fender Katsalidis Mirams, the Marina Quays Apartments are situated on the waterfront, with many apartments offering stunning views of Port Phillip Bay, the marina, a private landscaped garden and the city skyline.

The Marina Quays Apartments overlook the marina and are situated in the heart of the Marina Square – a retail and dining precinct that will become the thriving centre and activity hub of Wyndham Harbour.

Prices start at $254,000 for a one-bedroom apartment, $399,000 for a two-bedroom apartment and $569,000 for a three-bedroom apartment. Standard apartment features include European appliances, stone benchtops, secure car parking and air-conditioning. Options include two interior colour schemes and an optional kitchen-upgrade package.

Wyndham Harbour Pty Ltd senior development manager, Sonya Miller, said the Marina Quays Apartments offered a unique and affordable opportunity to enjoy a bayside lifestyle amid the buzz of cafes, shops and the marina.

“With this much-anticipated apartment release we continue to build our vision to create Melbourne’s premium master-planned marina community,” Miller said.

“The Marina Quays Apartments combine stunning contemporary design with an unrepeatable location right on the water in the heart of the Marina Square lifestyle precinct.

“Living at the Marina Quays Apartments offers the best of coastal living, with your boat anchored just metres away and great cafes and restaurants nearby,” she said.

Wyndham Harbour has also launched Stage 1 Marina Berths, which include an exclusive limited number of 99-year wet berths ranging from 10 to 30m in length. Developers expect these to be highly sought after due to the scarcity of berths around the bay and say they already selling fast.

Set to become the newest home of recreational boating in Victoria, Wyndham Harbour has plans for up to 1000 berths and a dry boat storage for up to 390 berths and is the only approved safe boat harbour between Williamstown and Geelong.

General manager of the Boating Industry Association Victoria, Clyde Batty, said: “The Boating Industry Association Victoria was very supportive of the Wyndham
Harbour project.

“Wyndham Harbour will provide important and much needed infrastructure for a boating lifestyle in the West of Melbourne. Boating is increasing in popularity across Victoria with families becoming more involved and therefore the need to provide these types of facilities. A safe harbour with the proposed amenities provides those families with a great base to enjoy recreational boating in Melbourne waters,” he said.

“Due to unprecedented demand from local buyers there may be a very limited window of opportunity to be part of Wyndham Harbour in this first stage,” said Miller. “I encourage home buyers, berth buyers and investors to get in touch with our sales office, phone (03) 9394 2688 or register online via at to avoid disappointment.”

Located 30 minutes drive from the CBD, developers said Wyndham Harbour is destined to become a major boating and lifestyle destination in the West.

Miller said the 101 apartments and berths would be offered first to those on the Wyndham Harbour database with priority given to prospective buyers who have made a reservation deposit.

The Wyndham Harbour Sales Office is open seven days a week and is located at the Sanctuary Lakes Shopping Centre, Shop 4, 300 Point Cook Road, Point Cook.
