AWARDS - PRESTIGE 60 IS THE 2010 EUROPEAN POWERBOAT OF THE YEAR WINNER

Jeanneau said its Prestige brand marked its entry into the world of large yachts by winning the 2010 European Powerboat of the year award in the category of powerboats over 50 feet.

Announced as the winner of the category at the Dusseldorf International Boat Show in late January, the Prestige 60 was nominated for the award along with the Fairline Squadron 65, the Sessa C68, the Absolute 64, and the Itama Sixty.

Designed by the V. Garroni design group, with a hull design by Peters Yacht Design, Jeanneau said its flagship motoryacht Prestige 60 is a new world of luxury, comfort and high technology.

“A luxurious well-lit interior with an enormous one-level saloon that includes the aft galley, three voluminous cabins including a full-beam midship owner’s cabin, and a masterfully designed flybridge provide absolute comfort,” said the builder, adding that an infusion construction hull and IPS powered transmission put the new Prestige 60 right at the cutting edge of technology.

For a limited time, the Prestige 60 is available to Australia at a base-boat price of $A1.95m.

“This makes it the best value for money Euro styled and built motor yacht in the Australian market,” said Jeanneau Prestige Power Boats’ Gold Coast dealer Allied Marine.
