NEW BOATS - Mustangs on parade
Luxury local boatbuilder Mustang Marine has released the latest information and concept imagery for their first foray into the 50-foot-plus boating segment.
The new 500 Sports Coupe and 550 Sports Euro have already achieved a number of sales, said Mustang, with the 550 Sports Euro to debut at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show in May next year and the 500 Sports Coupe premiering at the Sydney International Boat Show the following August.
Both boats, currently in production at the Australian boat manufacturer’s Gold Coast facility, will include a range of features never before seen on a Mustang and quite possibly any other Australian-built boat of this size, the builder promised.
Mustang said that with a sleek European inspired design and layout the Sports models will impress the most discerning big-boat buyer.
“Entertaining is a key feature of the design with both including very roomy foredeck entertaining areas, well laid-out cockpits, stylish saloons, with the Euro to include a spacious Eurobridge with sun lounges and a barbecue,” said Mustang.
As with all of its latest releases, the builder said the new boats will include fingerprint recognition ignition, touch-screen AC/DC control and as a first, both boats will include triple Volvo IPS engines with joystick docking controls.
Mustang claimed the European styling and functionality extends below decks too, the two Sports models featuring full-beam master staterooms with large hull windows to allow in natural light, plus optional crew quarters available as an additional feature. As well there is a full tender garage accessed from the hydraulic swim platform, which leads to the cockpit entertaining area.
In terms of performance, Mustang said it has worked with leading naval architects and the Volvo factory in Sweden, leveraging the known blue-water capabilities of the existing range to offer exceptional sea-keeping ability and performance.
“There is a definite emphasis by the design team at Mustang to incorporate a distinct European styling across our entire range of new boats,” said Chris Heaton Mustang CEO.
“This is based on extensive research by our team that identified the requirement for the latest technology, teamed with leading edge design and styling providing the ultimate vehicle for entertaining,” Heaton went on to say.
With an extensive range of standard inclusions, and Mustangs’ commitment to offering real value-for-money, the boatbuilder concluded that the new 500 Sports Coupe and 550 Sports Euro will offer a lot of boat at this size for a very impressive price.
