New Mustangs launch next month

Mustang Marine says it is returning to its roots with the release of the first new 2850 Sports Cruisers and 2850 Super Sports in mid December.

The 2850 Sports Cruiser and 2850 Super Sports, based on the popular 2800 Sports Cruiser, herald the return of the Australian boatbuilder to the entry-level cruising market.

According to the company, the 2850 takes all that was good in the 2800 Sports Cruiser and adds a range of the latest features and innovations along with extra living and entertaining space.

Mustang said the entertainment factor was a major consideration in the new design, with the new boat more beamy to provide extra room in the cockpit area and below decks. The galley has been moved from the downstairs cabin area to the cockpit, providing more comfort and access for entertaining.

Down below is full-standing head height, separate shower and toilet compartments, and room to sleep up to five people in comfort.

Mustang said it has integrated the latest technology into its new boats, and this continues with the 2850, featuring: touch-screen electrical control panel; FinScan fingerprint starting technology; SmartCraft gauges; electric engineroom access; and the latest entertainment system. Steps leading to the foredeck and a boarding ladder to both the stern and bow ensure safe and easy access while aboard or in and out of the water, added the builder.
