Key appointments at Gold Coast Marine Centre
The Gold Coast Marine Centre (GCMC) at Coomera has announced two new appointments to its team — they are Tim Sayer and Grant McMahon.
Sayer has been appointed as General Manager and McMahon has taken up the role of Yard Manager.
Sayer was previously Director of Sales and Marketing at luxury boatbuilder Riviera and McMahon also worked at Riviera where he was in various production management and new-product development roles over a 26-year period.
“We are extremely happy to welcome Tim and Grant to our team because they bring with them a wealth of experience in the marine industry and a real desire to deliver high-quality customer service,” said GCMC co-owner Rodney Longhurst. “They will be instrumental in driving the expansion of our site and the service offering at our facility.”
Sayer said: “It is an exciting time to be joining the business as it is in a real growth phase and everyone involved is totally committed to making sure our customers enjoy their experience at the Centre.”
GCMC said it is a clean, environmentally conscious, full-service marine facility in the heart of the Gold Coast Marine Precinct and provides the boating community with access to a range of marine services, from routine maintenance to complete rebuilds and refits.
Serviced by a 70-tonne boat lift and specialist multi-hull and houseboat hydraulic trailers, the GCMC said it also has 25,000m² of hardstand and service area, refit bays (open and lockable) to suit vessels up to 85 feet, as well as a 30-berth marina, plus factory facilities for boatbuilders, repairers, fabricators and service trades.
