NEWS - NSW Maritime Ministerial Advisory Council members wanted

Expressions of interest are invited by NSW Maritime for membership of the Maritime Ministerial Advisory Council with two-year terms to commence in early 2010.

The Maritime Ministerial Advisory Council provides advice to the Minister for Ports and Waterways on maritime issues in NSW.

The Council’s advice helps to promote a strategic view on maritime matters, including the promotion of boating, marine safety, environment, navigation, regulation, infrastructure and amenity issues and the development of the maritime industry.

The Council, which meets four to five times per year, comprises up to 10 members appointed by the Minister. Sitting fees are not paid, but travel expenses may be reimbursed for members attending from regional locations.
