NEW BOATS - Coastryder splashes into Australia

New boat for Australia

What better way to announce your presence than with a splash and a big one for that matter. Well, this is what showgoers will see when they attend the launch of the new boat brand Coastyder at Perth’s 2009 Mandurah Boat Show (from October 8 to 11).

To prove the strength of its fibreglass boats, Coastryder said they will drop one of their 6m boats from a helicopter into the water at 10.30am on the opening day of the show (although the company’s press release failed to mention from what height).

Coastryder said this boat will then be displayed at its 700m² Mandurah Boat Show site where 23 boats will be on-show along with Evinrude outboards and the Show Prize, a fully-optioned 5m RIB with teak floor and 60hp outboard, valued at $36,990.

Coastryder boats are designed in New Zealand by Brett Bakewell-White and there will be an opportunity to talk with the designer about the unique designs at the show. The company said its brand includes fibreglass boats from 4.5m to 8.2m (with larger models in production), RIBs and PWCs.

With handlaid construction incorporating high-density foam sandwich techniques, Coastryder said all its fibreglass boats are outboard powered with a choice of twin outboard rigs or sterndrive, and promise to deliver an outstanding ride and comfort.

With a strong commitment to supporting community, Coastryder said it recently donated an S15 fibreglass boat and motor to the Mandurah Water Rescue.
