NEWS - Outer Reef's Australian Commercial Survey

American-owned custom motoryacht builder, Outer Reef Yachts, in continuing efforts to bring a greater range of products and services to clients, said it can now construct any of its long-range motoryachts to Australian Commercial Survey.

The company said that in a recent sale of one of its new 70ft models to an experienced yachtsman, it was requested the yacht be built to Queensland Commercial Survey so it could be put into charter in Northern Queensland.

Being a custom builder, Outer Reef Yachts said it accepted the challenge to accommodate the client’s request, adding that it currently builds many of their boats to different classifications, including Bureau Veritas (BV).

“Very few builders will take the effort and devote the management to build to class or survey in the under-100ft range,” said the company press release.

“We see a demand and an opportunity in the market, and we look to fill that need. Being a custom builder with worldwide staff to manage and coordinate these types of builds is a natural for us,” said Jeff Druek, CEO and president of Outer Reef Yachts.

“We anticipate that our market share will continue to increase by being able to offer yachts built to Australian Commercial Survey,’ he said.

Outer Reef Yachts build custom long-range motoryachts from 58ft to 115ft in Taiwan and has offices in Sydney; Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; Annapolis, Maryland; Seattle, Washington; and, Southampton, UK.
