Bavaria Cruiser 32 is nominated for European Yacht of the Year
Bavaria Yachts´ new Cruiser 32, considered by her maker as one of the most interesting and promising new yachts in her category, has been nominated for the European Yacht of the Year 2009/10 awards.
Regarded as one of Europe’s most prestigious, the awards cover five categories, including Family Cruiser for which the Bavaria Cruiser 32 has been nominated alongside a Delphia 47, Dufour 405, Ovni 445, and Sunbeam 30.1.
“We are delighted and excited about the nomination,” says Andres Cardenas, CEO Bavaria Yachts.
“In close cooperation with Farr Yacht Design and BMW Group DesignworksUSA (a subsidiary of the BMW Group) we have managed to create something really special with the Cruiser 32.
“She is not only a gorgeous sailing yacht; we have managed very well to create a flow between genius functionality and design. The Cruiser 32 is a real family cruiser, just like we keep saying, a lot of boat for not a lot of money,” Cardenas explained.
The European Yacht of the Year awards are decided by a panel made up from 11 yachting magazines across Europe, whose judges will test the nominated boats in Ijmuiden, the Netherlands, in September and Barcelona in November.
In its seventh year, the European Yacht of the Year 2009/10 award winners will be announced at the Dusseldorf boat show in January next year.
