Chaparral Ready to Fly Down South

Melbourne’s Aussie Boat Sales (ABS) says it has signed a deal with Chaparral Boats to become the exclusive importer of the US range of sportsboats, deckboats and cruisers.

The company said Chaparral have released an exciting new range of boats featuring the SSi Wide Tech family bowriders, new Sunesta deckboats, the radical Xtreme wakeboarding series and introducing the flagship 400 Premiere sportsyacht.

ABS said this new range is the result of an intensive R&D program designed to offer loyal customers and potential converts the perfect upgrade, while maintaining the award-winning style, value and performance that Chaparral has been recognised for during the last 43 years.

“Winner of nine US Boat of the Year awards and 30 awards for product excellence, Chaparral have been weathering the economic downturn in a positive way. As an organisation, they are debt free, have strong cash reserves and currently sit third in the US for boats sold in the 18 to 40-foot range,” ABS stated in a press release.

ABS director, Scott O’Hare says: “We have been selling Chaparrals in Victoria for five years and have seen a steady increase in enquiries and sales. So, we are very excited to have landed the national distributorship and look forward to representing the brand through a strong dealer network with increased market presence and a focus on customer service.

“We have always considered Chaparral to be a boutique brand, resale has always been strong, the quality of construction and finish is of a higher standard than most, but now with 25 models in the range and more competitive pricing, we believe we offer a genuine alternative to some of the more high-volume brands,” he said.

ABS currently has limited 2009 stock available with 2010 models in production and expected to arrive in late October. ABS also has a good selection of used Chaparrals available across the size range.
