NEWS - Club Marine supports AIMEX networking function

Club Marine has announced its sponsorship of the upcoming 2009 Australian International Marine Export Group (AIMEX) networking function which is scheduled to coincide with the Sydney International Boat Show (July 30 to August 3).

AIMEX said the annual function is the key event within its calendar and attracts a large number of industry stakeholders.

Club Marine CEO, Mark Bradley, says that sponsorship of the event provided Club Marine with another opportunity to support Australia’s domestic marine industry.

“Club Marine feels strongly that if we are to have a world-class marine industry including research and development, design and manufacture here in Australia, events such as AIMEX’s networking function are of vital importance,” Bradley said.

Mary Anne Edwards, AIMEX CEO said that the support of Club Marine highlights the similarities of the strong and dynamic companies.

“It’s fantastic that a top-performing marine sector insurance company is supporting our efforts,” she said, “like Club Marine, AIMEX is seen as a progressive, dynamic and customer focussed organisation.”

“AIMEX is playing an important leadership role in fostering the Australian marine industry both at home and abroad,” Bradley said, “that’s why we are so pleased to support them.”

AIMEX said it is the peak body for the Australian marine export industry which generates more than 1.2 billion dollars a year for the Australian economy, and its primary purpose is to develop and promote Australia's thriving marine industry to the world.

The 2009 AIMEX networking function takes place on Thursday, July 30 in Sydney.
