NEWS - Brunswick management changes announced

Brunswick Asia Pacific Group (BAGP) has announced a number of changes for the Australia, New Zealand Pacific (ANZP) region as part of the continuing effort to strengthen the organisation, place greater focus on strategic initiatives and support strong business growth.

“These changes take effect immediately and I believe they place the organisation on a very sound footing heading into what is going to be another very competitive financial year,” said John Temple, ANZP general manager.

Brunswick said Ken Evans, Director of Outboard Products and Commercial and Government Business, who has served BAPG with distinction for more than three decades, has chosen to retire from the company at the end of this calendar year. Evans has begun a gradual handover of responsibilities, but in order for BAGP to continue to benefit from his experience the company said he will be engaged to provide consulting and training services on outboard sales and products on an occasional basis.

“Ken’s current responsibilities are threefold — involvement in the Global Product Team representing the ANZP region for outboard product, managing commercial and government business, and general accountability for outboard sales through our network of retail dealers. These responsibilities have been allocated to the existing senior management team,” said the company in a press release.

BAGP said Will Sangster has accepted the new role of Director of Sales. “In this national role he will be responsible for product sales through our network of retail dealers in the ANZP region as well as implementing dealer development programs working with Nicholas Webb. Will is relocating to Melbourne to take up his new role. All the regional sales teams will report to Will.”

Nicholas Webb has been named Director of Marketing and Outboard Product succeeding Ken Evans on outboard product issues and on the Global Product Team. Webb remains in Melbourne and continues to be responsible for Brunswick’s marketing efforts in the ANZP region. “In addition, Nicholas will work closely with Will Sangster on the continuing Dealer Development Program. The marketing team continues to report to Nicholas,” BAGP adde.

David Meehan maintains his current role as Director of MerCruiser Product and Sales, and in addition, will now be responsible for all the Commercial and Government Business across the ANZP region.

Paul McLean continues as Director of Quicksilver Parts and Accessories as well as being responsible for growing the boating accessories business throughout the region.

Guy Williamson stays on as Director of Service and Quality, and is now responsible for driving the sales of genuine Quicksilver repair and service parts to the dealer network through the existing service teams in ANZP.

“On behalf of everyone in the ANZP team I’d like to congratulate these individuals, thanking them for their past contributions and wishing them success in their new or expanded roles,” said Temple.

“I would like to particularly thank Ken Evans for his outstanding contribution, not only to this company, but to the industry as a whole in this region,” he said.
