NEWS - Ralfy winner announced

“Don’t bull@#%$ me – I take my boating very seriously!”

Geoffrey Howard of Townsville, FNQ, experienced the full range of emotions when Trade-a-Boat editor Jeff Strang called to tell him he’d won Trade-a-Boat’s restoration giveaway, Ralfy V.

In fact, he found it so hard to believe, he called the Trader Classifieds office twice just to make sure.

The win was timely for Ralfy’s new owner, a keen fisherman. Turns out Geoffrey was selling his current boat, with plans to upgrade to something very similar to the restored Mariner Pacer 760 he’d won.

Ralfy V was discovered at a swing-mooring in Mosman, NSW, in May 2010, before she was lovingly restored by Aussie boatbuilding icon Bill Barry-Cotter in his Maritimo factory on the Gold Coast.
