Exmouth Harbour Upgrade Moves to Second Stage

The $18.275million Exmouth Boat Harbour upgrade project has moved into its second stage, and site preparation has already commenced.

The contract for early on-site civil works has been awarded to WBHO Infrastructure and major works are expected to commence before the middle of the year.

The new facilities are intended to allow Exmouth and Western Australia’s Gascoyne region increased capacity and efficiency as a service and support centre for the oil and gas sector. The investment includes an extension to the service wharf, construction of a heavy lift facility and associated landside wharf infrastructure.

The day-to-day operation of the harbour is managed by the WA Department of Transport.
