Whitehaven Yachts appoints Bruce Scott to management team

As Whitehaven Motor Yachts unveiled its third model, the Whitehaven 6000 Sunbridge, at the 2015 Sydney International Boat Show, the team also found time to introduce the third spoke in its management wheel – co-owner and previously-silent partner Bruce Scott.

Scott stepped forward at the brand launch to assist friend and business partner Keith Hanson to deliver their strategic plan which aims to position the Whitehaven brand firmly within the Australian market.

Scott came on board after being sold a New Ocean yacht by Keith, taking delivery of a 68 Enclosed Flybridge in 2011. So captivated was he by this new vessel, plus the personalities behind the transaction, he decided to join the Whitehaven luxury boats venture.

Keith the salesman and his boatbuilder son Ryan Hanson felt that if their business were to really succeed, they needed a third party. Enter Scott, who brings with him a financial and administrative background.

“We now have a team now which covers the spectrum required for a successful business model,” Keith confirmed. Built in Taiwan, Whitehaven yachts combine offshore capability with top-notch build quality to deliver easily customisable yachts. The range now includes the 6000 Flybridge, Sunbridge and Coupe models.
