South Sea Cruises operates Australian powercats

Fiji’s South Sea Cruises has put its new Australian-designed and built catamaran to work.

The 24m Cougar II was built by Aluminium Boats Australia to a design from One2three. The project follows on from the success of Kingfish, which commenced operations with Cruise Whitsundays in August last year. Both Cruise Whitsundays and South Sea Cruises are managed by New Zealand company Marine Tourism Management.

One2three notes that while Cougar II has been modified to suit the wharves and other operational requirements in Fiji, it otherwise remains largely unchanged from its Australian sistership.

South Sea Cruises operates a range of day cruises and island resort connections as well as tailor-made events for the conference and incentive market.
