NEWS - Australian marine industry ready for IBEX

Australian companies will have a strong presence at this year’s International Boatbuilders’ Exhibition and Conference (IBEX) in the US.

The Australian Marine Export Group (AIMEX), the peak body for the Australian Marine Export Industry, said IBEX is a well-known platform to launch new products and technologies.

Among the AIMEX delegation of industry heavyweights are Austral Propellers, Aqualuma Underwater Lighting, Veem Propellers, Poly Flex Group, FinScan, Stress Free Marine, Cooper Anchors, Coursemaster Autopilots, Hydrive Engineering, Marine Tuft, Palm Unbreakable Drinkware and Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.

AIMEX said Cooper Anchors have entered its new product, the Nylon Anchor — the world’s first plastic boat anchor — in the prestigious IBEX Innovation Awards, which acknowledge the importance of technological advancement and new products in the industry. The Awards will be announced at the IBEX Industry Awards Breakfast during the show.

“The continued support of Australian companies for IBEX reinforces the opportunities within the US market despite the recent economic crisis,” said AIMEX CEO MaryAnne Edwards. “Our members are definitely seeing signs of recovery and are confident that will be reflected in their sales results.”

IBEX, formerly at Miami Beach, Florida, will be held for the first time at Louisville, Kentucky from October 28 to 30.
