AIMEX for IBEX 2009
Australian marine companies will have a presence at IBEX in Miami, Florida, from October 12 to 14, despite the current economic downturn and the fact export sales to the US are still well down on previous years, the Australian International Marine Export Group (AIMEX) said.
AIMEX said Australia will continue to have the strongest country presence at this show and understands the importance of ensuring the Australian marine industry is well positioned when the US market comes back to pre-2008 sales.
The AIMEX, a peak industry group, and 10 Australian marine companies will attend IBEX — the trade-only show draws leading industry personnel from all over Canada and the US.
“IBEX has always been one of the leading international events attended by Australian companies,” said AIMEX CEO, Mary Anne Edwards, “And, despite the current state of the marine industry there, it is important for Australia to maintain a strong brand presence.”
Companies exhibiting at IBEX with AIMEX in the Australian Pavilion include, Austral Propellers, Coursemaster, HyDrive Engineering, MultiPanel, Poly Flex, Sea Gyro, FinScan, Stress Free Marine, and VEEM Propellers.
AIMEX members Aqualuma and Evrsafe will also have a presence at IBEX with their distributors.
VEEM, recent winners of the Australian Marine Industry Export Award for innovation, continues to have a strong foothold in the US and will be exhibiting their award winning innovative Interceptor Propellers, said AIMEX.
FinScan, who recently released their Bio eStart, the latest in fingerprint engine-start technology, has entered this product into the IBEX innovation awards and is already making a name for itself in the international arena.
AIMEX said Australian marine industry products are highly regarded in this market and companies exhibiting at IBEX are still assured of success.
