Few names in motor yachts carry the pedigree of Astondoa. Founded in 1916, this Spanish shipyard on the Mediterranean coast has remained in family hands through four generations, has built more than 3,000 vessels and still keeps everything from design to joinery under one roof. The 72 GLX is one of the yard's most successful flybridge models so this is a vessel built on a thoroughly proven platform. Very rare in Australian waters, "L'Ultima" is a beautiful example. Powered by twin 1200Hp MAN V12 diesels that deliver a relaxed 20 knot cruise and a thrilling 28 knots when you feel like stretching her legs, this is a genuine ocean cruiser carrying 5400 litres of fuel for long distance cruising at 10 knots. The quality of construction is obvious immediately on boarding and once you enter the saloon, the rich gloss timber finishes continue to impress. The luxurious interior features cream leather furnishings and a stunning dinning area sets the scene for the style of cruising that this vessel is designed for. The accommodation is generous and well considered with four spacious cabins, each with their own ensuite and the master cabin is a full beam suite. With the addition of a separate crew cabin, there is a total of five cabins and all kept cool by ducted reverse cycle airconditioning throughout. The galley is well equipped with a full height fridge, electric oven and even a washer and dryer along with direct access to the side deck for seamless catering when entertaining. The large Teak laid cockpit is perfect for extended lunches and the massive sunbridge is there for the party to continue long into the evening or simply to get away and spend an afternoon lounging on the day bed. The 400kg crane is capable of supporting a large tender and other water toys which once launched, further increase the space available on the bridge. Digital controls in three locations along with a bow thruster ensure manoeuvring this substantial vessel is made easy and there is an array of Ratheon electronics for navigation. Other features include a water maker for extended stays, two Kohler generators, cockpit ice maker, Clarion sound system and a 2016 AB tender with a Mercury outboard to complete the list. The quality of this vessel is far superior to comparable offerings in this market segment and carry's far more prestige than other mass produced brands. Stand out from the rest and be very proud to casually mention that your's is an Astondoa. Highly recommended by the Team at Martin Box Marine.
